We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a nationwide manufacturing company located in Waterbury, CT.
We are searching for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for implementation of the quality system related to product and process control from raw material specification through finished good testing and certification.
Responsibilities include:
* Reviewing and creating documentation and communication compliant with customer specification and purchase order requirements.
* Review for final approval, all purchase orders, specifications, manufacturing work instructions, and process routings.
* Investigate causes of quality problems, perform customer investigations and prepare root cause corrective action reports.
* Facilitate customer audits and conduct internal product and process audits.
* Interface directly with Quality Manager, Engineers and Manufacturing on quality requirements and issues.
Must have experience with quality system and statistical analysis. Must have thorough understanding of ISO9000 and AS9100 quality systems.
Additional "must have's":
? Excellent written communication skills.
? Must be able to read and interpret technical specifications.
? Root cause and corrective action analysis experience.
? Auditing methodology experience.
? ASQ, CQA and or CQE is highly desirable
? Experience evaluating and developing improved techniques for control of quality and reliability.
Familiarity with structural composite materials and ASTM test methods highly desirable.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a BS in Engineering or Quality with a minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance. The candidate must have experience using analytical methodologies for problem solving. The individual will have the ability to work as a highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of leading by example.
