Field Technician- Engineering- traffic systems- For a leader in the field of traffic systems.

What you need for this position:
~ Engineering degree preferred (Traffic Engineering Technology a plus).
~ 2 years technical management experience.
~ 5 years experience in a highway construction or technology industry.
~ Must not be color blind nor fear working at heights.
~ Level I or II IMSA (International Municipal Signal Association) designation.
~ Electrical and electronic design and systems management, OR Traffic Data Collection Systems and ITS asset knowledge and experience.
~ Project management skills.
~ 2 years (min.) supervisory experience
~ Must possess and maintain a valid Virginia Driver’s License.
~ Desired: Level I or II IMSA (International Municipal Signal Association)
You will be working outdoors so you must be open to all weather conditions and climates.
What you will be doing:
~ Direct, coordinate and train team of technicians engaged in construction, maintenance and repair of traffic systems, traffic monitors and monitors, CCTV surveillance systems, electric power, lighting, and communication systems of buildings and transportation equipment.
~ Interact with customers, design engineers, consultants, and/or sub- contractors to provide a quality product and quality customer service.
~ Installs and performs maintenance to all types of traffic data collection systems and ITS assets.
~ Plan, directs, schedules, and coordinates activities of assigned tasks to ensure that goals or objectives of assigned tech crew are accomplished within the prescribed time frame.
~ Trains technicians and serves as supervisor.
~ Participates directly in on-site maintenance and service activities.
