| |
Store Managers and Manager Trainees are responsible for the complete management of a retail store to include receiving, merchandising, customer service, personnel related matters and operations. Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Receiving scheduled shipments and checking in merchandise according to policy
* Maintaining a clean well-merchandised store with properly displayed, tagged and priced items and maintaining a safe, well-organized office and backroom
* Preparing for advertisements through proper displays, monitoring and controlling stock levels, pricing and staffing
* Communicating with buyers and supervisors on status of all stock with relation to sales
* Increasing sales and decreasing losses by using selling techniques, offering consistent and superior customer service and practicing loss prevention tactics
* Following and enforcing company policies on register, petty cash, banking, opening and closing procedures and loss prevention
* Responding timely and accurately to requests from Regional Supervisors, District Managers and home office personnel
* Communicating with Human Resources on employee related issues and following established company policies as they pertain to employee relations
* Creating and maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to all established safety rules resulting in zero customer or work related accidents
* Hiring, training and maintaining a necessary staff level to achieve sales goals
* Maintaining work schedules and clerk payroll hours within budgetary guidelines
* Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance at all times
