Assistant Store Manager
Pinehurst, NC
Stein Mart is currently seeking a fun, fashionable, fresh and friendly person to join our Store Team as an Assistant Store Manager in our Pinehurst store.
We are looking for someone to create a store culture focused on customer service; partner with store management to achieve business results; select, supervise and develop staff and direct store operational and merchandising areas.
Job Requirements:
# High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
# 2 to 4 years’ applicable retail work experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience
# Demonstrated expertise in retail skills (merchandising and operational skills), numeric reasoning to include proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and calculating percentages
# Computer keyboard knowledge and experience using a computer in a Windows environment, using e-mail and using the internet
# A strong interest in working with people;
# Comfortable with change, enjoys variety in work and thrives on creating novel solutions
# Experience in a leadership role with supervisory capacity
# Results-oriented with a willingness to follow through, make informed decisions, complete tasks and problem solve
# Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
# Exhibited attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
# Moderate physical ability - standing and walking will constitute 95% or more of a work shift
# Ability to relocate.
