A top-tier global financial services company is in search of a Product Research & Development Vice President with 10+ year’s experience of life insurance products, 5+ years pricing, developing or financial reporting of insurance products and 5+ years managing cross functional teams.
The ideal candidate with have proven experience with the creation, design and implementation of life insurance ideas and products. Successful prior experience with defining competitive market requirements and opportunities, designing new products and providing ongoing marketing support which ensures the competitiveness of existing products. Prior evaluation skills and knowledge for impact of product competitiveness of proposed changes in experience assumptions is necessary.
Key partners and stakeholders in this role include the business unit President, Life Product Strategy Vice President, a senior business unit marketing and sales executives, pricing actuaries, business unit illustration actuary and business unit appointed actuary. All of these contacts have key roles as either gatekeeper or advocate for product development projects.
The successful candidate will have prior experience working with key contacts to influencing key stakeholders regarding making decisions for product portfolio and overall product strategy. Prior product-specific sales training is vital. The ability to work independently, manage a staff and interact with all levels of the project team is essential.
Excellent project management, verbal and written communications is necessary. An undergraduate degree, along with multiple industry certifications such as FSA, CLU and FLMI is preferred. A professional license such as NASD series 6 or 26 is desired. Outstanding bonus and compensation package.
