The Neuromuscular Research Laboratory (NMRL) within the Department of Sports Medicine and Nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh is accepting applications for an Exercise Physiologist to conduct military research at Ft Campbell Army Base in Ft Campbell, KY.
The position is Department of Defense funded and will focus on research related to identifying physiological characteristics as potential contributors to injury and improving physiological performance of Soldiers. Research will include direct testing of VO2 max, lactate threshold, anaerobic power, and body composition and assistance with measuring biomechanical, strength, and flexibility of Soldiers.
A Masters degree in Exercise Physiology/Sports Medicine or related field is required. Demonstrated competency of physiological testing, testing of an athletic population, and development of periodized training programs is critical.
Salary is commensurate with experience (12 month renewable appointment) and all benefits including health insurance, retirement benefits, and tuition discounts at the University of Pittsburgh for both self and family.
