Job Description:
This position is located in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Accountable for the successful planning and execution of all formulation development activities for new product development projects ensuring the right level of resources and prioritisation are provided to the local Pharmaceutical Development teams.
Through the application of scientific leadership, management and supervision of the scientists and technical teams, ensures that all new developmental product formulations and prototypes from initial feasibility stage through to full development, optimization and technology transfer are achieved according to agreed project timescales and deadlines.
Manages and supervises the preparation and on-time delivery of all relevant technical documentation to be incorporated into final registration submissions to regulatory health authorities and is accountable for the overall quality of said documentation.
Collaborates closely with the local Head of Analytical Development and in particular with the Head of the Lincoln Laboratory on resource and project planning activities to ensure that all NPD projects allocated to the Lincoln Laboratory are prioritized and resourced appropriately and as directed by management.
Manages and supervises any necessary technical collaboration pertaining to formulation development with external development organizations and contract laboratories as and when required.
Accountable for maintaining and nurturing the appropriate degree of scientific excellence within the department, and for the career development and succession planning for departmental associates.

Ph.D. degree or an equivalent research qualification, in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences or pharmaceutical development is a pre-requisite for the position.
10-12 years direct experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (e.g. PhD with 6+ years in the same role in a pharmaceutical company is required
