The Company seeks an individual with demonstrated experience to identify, recruit, cultivate, and recognize volunteers for their accomplishments within the Columbia, SC area. This person is primarily responsible for achieving fund-raising goals related to the Tour de Cure cycling event by securing corporate sponsorships and teams, participant recruitment and fund-raising income, volunteers and more. This person will also support other office initiatives. Candidate must be a team player and dedicated to the achievement of personal and office goals.
he successful candidate is results oriented, with experience in working with and through groups to achieve desired outcomes. Special event fund-raising experience, including cold calling and customer relationship building experiences, are required. Strong oral and written presentation skills are required. Must know how to close the deal, confirm mutual understandings, and manage volunteer participation to successful outcomes. Must be self-motivated, pay attention to detail, be able to manage multiple activities, and communicate to volunteers the vision of ADA to ensure successful events. Must have experience in working with people of diverse backgrounds.
REQUIREMENTS
BA / BS degree or equivalent related experience
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends
Must have access to an automobile
Ability to lift 25 pounds
