FUNCTION:Responsible for management, maintenance and satisfaction of assigned Military Customers. Provide move coordination for Military customers in accordance with Families First Business Rules and Military Regulations. Implement corporate relocation process for Military customers. Communicate & coordinate with Operations, Agents and customers throughout entire move process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop a working knowledge of the Military Families First Business Rules, Defense Transportation Regulation, Defense Personal Property System (DPS), applicable domestic and international tariffs, rate solicitations, and program pricing structure to be able to apply details to specific situations and effectively communicate details to service providers.
Follow detailed move management process for multiple customers at the same time from point of shipment offer through delivery to residence.
Coordinate shipment offers from Military computer systems with origin and destination agents and Operations for servicing and transportation according to procedures.
Process and manage accessorial pre-approval requests when required and obtain authorization from Military Transportation Offices to ensure service providers are properly compensated for services provided.
Accurately register shipments so that the proper service terms are applied to all orders to enable proper billing and service to customer.
Accurately maintain shipment information in Military and Bekins computer systems within required time frames.
Develop and implement strategies to maintain customer contact to result in achieving a high customer satisfaction rating on each shipment.
Negotiate & expedite exception shipments with Operations and service providers as required to ensure service.
Supervise Military customer relocations throughout entire move process, especially on day of pack, load and delivery. Trouble-shoot and resolve issues as they arise which requires availability after hours and on weekends.
Manage customer relationship and perceptions to ensure high customer satisfaction ratings.
Provide service providers and customers with documents as required.
Coordinate services with internal departments as needed and be the central customer contact throughout the move.
Identify and report the success and failures in any part of the Bekins system affecting Military Business to the Management Team.
Learn the claims system in order to process quick claims settlement for qualifying shipments.
Requirements
Military Relocation Counselor
Requirements:
3 years comparable customer service/or inside sales or account management - preferably in household goods rather than non-household goods call center
Some College or continuing education after high school, 4 year degree preferred
Proficient in Microsoft/Internet
Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
Can work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to learn and teach oneself to operate custom computer systems.
Remains flexible & embraces change. Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
