Our client is part of an extremely well regarded multi-billion dollar multinational pharmaceutical and consumer products company. We are seeking a Plant Manager for Product Supply and Manufacturing in the Midwestern Plains.
Title: Plant Manager / Site Leader-Product Supply & Manufacturing (JH08125)
Reports to: Vice President, Product Supply & Manufacturing North America
Location: Midwestern Plains
Position Purpose
This position is responsible for leading the overall operations of multiple production and development business units. This position has direct accountability for establishing goals and objectives for the multiple Manufacturing, Packaging, Quality Control Testing, Planning and Technology & Development functions. The position directs a large staff including 8+ Directors, 400+ managers and staff employees, and 100+ contract workers across three shifts the operations of multiple production and development business units.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing and directing the transformation of the site culture to fully adopting lean methods and culture. The candidate will need to have a greater supply chain network focus rather than that of manufacturing. The best candidate will have the knowledge and capacity to assume future roles as a regional head or third party manufacturing leadership role. He/she should have a background in OTC, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, other FDA Regulated Consumer Products, or Medical Devices.
The incumbent will have responsibility for developing guidelines and managing results for all operations responsible for producing, monitoring and shipping 100% of all Business Unit products. He/she will manage and lead Manufacturing, QA, QC, Packaging, Planning, Compliance, Technology & Development, Project Management and HR. They will direct the development and implementation of new and transfer products and workflow optimization initiatives, which positively impact
the site’s P&L, cycle time, productivity and quality of work.
Interested candidates MUST meet the following criterion:
• Must have direct experience working in Supply Chain and Logistics
• Pharmaceutical/OTC/Healthcare/FDA Regulated Consumer Product QA/QC experience
• At least 10 years Manufacturing Experience at the Director Level, and
o At least 3 years in fast time to market retail consumer products manufacturing, and
o At least 3 of those years in a cGMP manufacturing environment
• Must have thorough knowledge of manufacturing, packaging, quality control, quality assurance & compliance, planning and technology and development areas
• 10+ year's relevant experience in a FDA regulated industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be mobile in future for promotional opportunities
• The desired candidate will have B.S. degree in Engineering, Business, Chemistry, Biology or related Science; MBA is preferred.
