Job Purpose
Manufacturing Engineer responsible for introduction of new products and driving continuous improvement of existing product lines. Managing the movement of materials, equipment, and processes. The job scope ranges from new product cost estimates to product line setup and supporting product start up. Must continually support the manufacturing processes of both existing and new products to ensure that equipment capacity will meet customer demand. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in new product start up, as well as management of global projects/teams
Essential Functions
Responsible for streamlining manufacturing processes and improving product flow in a high-mix, NPI manufacturing environment.
Drive defect / DPMO reduction using Six Sigma tools and techniques.
Responsible for employing Lean AWO and Kaizen to drive continuous improvement in various manufacturing processes including reducing equipment setup and changeover cycles, manufacturing lead times, product cost, and inventory.
Responsible for understanding capabilities, and capacity of manufacturing tools and equipment and ensuring manufacturing's ability to meet design intent.
Responsible for working with Engineering on NPI initiatives to ensure product producibility, and to meet product cost targets.
Knowledgeable of project management techniques and tools, Heijunka scheduling, and functional cost accounts.
Responsible for motivating and engaging other global team members to analyze complex problems and implement simple yet effective solutions.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's of Science in an engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial)
Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
Eligibility Requirements
