Full Time, Exempt.
Range 29S, $4,617 - $6,207 per month,
starting salary negotiable dependent upon qualifications and prior experience. Fluency with Spanish language preferred, but not required.

The Managing Librarian plans, coordinates, and manages the operations and activities of an assigned group of branch library locations; participates in system-wide planning and projects; conducts analysis in relation to branch and community service requirements;
oversees the management of branch collections; interacts with and provides direct library services to customers; develops and delivers library programming; serves as a representative of the Library within the local community; and supervises assigned personnel.
The successful candidate will have a vision and understanding of library service in the 21st century with an eye to the future and the contemporary needs of the public; will be customer-focused and an excellent communicator; have a proven ability to lead change, develop and support staff, and participate in a system that believes in continual improvement.
Required qualifications:
MLS or MLIS, at least five (5) years management and three (3) years supervisory experience in public library services,
State of Washington Librarian Certificate required within thirty (30) days of hire.
A valid Washington State Driver’s License; must pass local police and Washington State Adult/Child Abuse records check prior to hire.
