Job Description
Library Services Manager
A large (100+ attorney) law firm with offices in Phoenix and Denver, seeks a Library Services Manager. The Library Services Manager will provide the resources, services and tools needed to support the information and research requirements of the Phoenix and Denver attorneys, support staff and clients.
Specific duties will include supervising and training library staff, developing and implementing library services, policies and procedures, providing research assistance, assisting patrons by recommending print and/or electronic resources and research techniques, supervising electronic and print collection development, distributing and maintaining records of office/desk copies and assisting in acquisition and processing of new library materials, locating and arranging interlibrary loans, liaising with office practice groups, marketing library services within the firm, managing the library budgets, interacting with various company representatives and vendors and other duties as required.
Required:
BS/BA degree.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm or other law library.
Preferred: Significant library experience in a professional services environment. Strong print and database research skills, proficiency with BNA and CCH print products and organization, proficiency with Lexis, Westlaw and PACER, advanced internet research skills beyond basic Google.
