Our School & Library Marketing department in the Young Readers division is currently seeking a Library Marketing Manager to maintain and build relationships with key librarians and library systems. This is a great opportunity to meet and discuss books and trends with librarians, reviewers, and readers!
Specific responsibilities include:
- Planning, executing, and attending 3-5 major library conventions per year including booth setup, author schedules, and entertainment plans while monitoring budget parameters
- Orchestrating unique events and author opportunities
- Overseeing mailings to American Library Association committees
- Participating in weekly, monthly, and seasonal meetings including contributing to and implementing marketing plans
Requirements: Qualifications/requirements include:
- Minimum 3 years prior experience in children’s/Young Adult library marketing
- Ability to travel up to 6 times a year to conferences via plane or train
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook; InDesign and Quark are pluses
