T-Mobile USA, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Counsel to join its Legal Team and work at its corporate headquarters in Bellevue, WA.
This position will report into a Senior Corporate Counsel and provide legal support primarily to the Customer Service and Financial Operations teams, as well as teams internal to the Legal Department. In addition, the position will assist Senior Corporate Counsel on a variety of projects as assigned. This position will be responsible for a full range of transactional issues and will draft, negotiate and review a wide variety of contracts, including credit services agreements and complex vendor contracts under which services are outsourced. This position will provide guidance on resolution of customer issues, including bankruptcies. This position will draft and review customer-facing policies and practices and provide advice and counsel on the operational impact of customer-focused legislation. This position will work closely with other groups within the legal department, including the privacy team and the sales support team.
Experience in drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts required, with specific experience in drafting and negotiating customer services and financial services (e.g., credit bureau contracts), strongly desired. Familiarity with and experience in financial and consumer regulatory issues and customer privacy issues strongly desired. Customer-oriented interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, good organization and planning skills, a proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, an entrepreneurial spirit and good business sense are a must for this position
Requirements include a law degree and at least 6 years of legal experience. Law firm and in-house experience preferred.
