Job Description:
Product Design (Pro-E) Engineer needed for a direct hire position with our client in Southwest Michigan.
Our client is seeking a Product Engineer that has the desire to work in a global design environment. The individual will be interacting with engineers and designers from various points around the world. Responsibilities will be in the design, development and continuous improvement of engineering tools.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate the use of Pro/Engineer and PDM software within a global design environment.
Training and mentoring of Pro/E users, development of CAD standards and modeling techniques to promote model quality and re-use,
Creation of custom mapkeys and UDFs and coordinating with the global Pro/E leads.
Coordinate and participate in new Pro/E version testing and interact with tech support for problem resolution.
Participation in the PTC User technical committee meetings may also be required.
Job Requirements
Product Design (Pro-E) Engineer Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering is required.
3 to 5 years of industry experience in the use of Pro/Engineer software also a must. Advanced knowledge of ProE Wildfire CAD modeling is required.
Knowledge of machine element design such as gears, shafts, bearings, clutches, fasteners and rotary shaft seals as well as casting and forging design a plus.
Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and capabilities used to produce gears, shafts & housings desirable.
Travel in the USA and abroad up to 10%.
Ability to work in a global environment interfacing with engineers and designers from various points around the world.
