AIG's Domestic Group has an opening for an Underwriting Manager for a profitable book of energy related primary casualty business in the Los Angeles and San Francisco regions.
Current book of business includes national, commercial accounts ranging from guaranteed cost to large deductible / loss sensitive program structures. Underwriting manager will work with AIG Global Marine and Energy Regional Executive and the AIG Global Energy Casualty Home Office regarding new business and account retention production goals.
Responsibilities:
Management of 3 Underwriters
Marketing
Specific account underwriting
Analyze account and book profitability
Cross sell energy related products.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must have 10 successful years underwriting of primary casualty lines of business including worker's compensation, automobile liability, general liability
Knowledge of large national types accounts with a loss sensitive / cash flow underwriting experience is a must
Must have prior experience with west coast brokerage community
Previous staff management is preferred
Candidate must be self motivated, computer literate, and possess good analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability for light travel required
This position will be based in the Los Angeles, CA AIG Global Marine and Energy office
