Creativity and leadership are the keys to success in this role responsible for directing the Asset Liability Management efforts for multiple operating entities within Allianz of Americas. While driving the development and implementation of an innovative ALM infrastructure, you’ll advise management regarding mitigation of complex exposures that combine financial and capital market risks.
We’ll also rely on you to:
Leverage capital markets and product knowledge to develop risk reduction strategies
Identify best ALM practices within the insurance industry and participate in best practices working groups within the Allianz Group.
Prepare and present periodic local and group level management reports and ALM updates
Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to the ALM team
Oversee strategic planning and budgeting
Provide quantitative support of various projects and expertise/advice to other affiliates
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required, MBA a plus
10+ years of actuarial experience including 3+ years of experience in ALM or related function within a life insurance company
FSA with at least one of the following: SOA investments track, CFA, quantitative/financial engineering degree, or significant capital markets experience
Extensive knowledge of fixed indexed annuities, variable annuities and guarantees and long-term care insurance
Deep understanding of ALM risk analysis and risk mitigation techniques, including derivatives
Successful track record of developing, recommending and guiding an organization into new areas or directional changes
Proven ability to acquire/develop talent and build a successful team
Strong strategic thinking, planning, leadership, influencing and verbal/written communication skills
Flexibility and creativity in managing changing/conflicting priorities
