POSITION DESCRIPTION
Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of an automated HRIS for use in retrieval and manipulation of Human Resources information. Assist in the HRIS design and systems development. Provide a high level of application expertise in the HRIS function. Ensure accuracy and efficiency within the HRIS system.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and develop initial instance of complex reports to fulfill user needs in certain business cases and transfer knowledge of report processing to Analyst, HRIS.
Schedule and/or communicate to users outages or disruptions to HR systems and ensure no long-term disruption of business functions.
Enhance the efficiency of the HRIS department by automating as many processing procedures as possible thus eliminating redundant work and data entry.
Recommend changes in methods or procedures to increase efficiency of the HRIS department and maximize system capabilities.
Participate or lead in the development, testing and implementation of new or modified systems to meet changing business requirements.
Train users on HR system applications.
Implement and work in conjunction with Analyst, HRIS to maintain all relevant IS security policies and procedures.
Utilize expert knowledge of current HR applications to aid users in current and potential work processes.
Serve as a liaison for all HR systems (i.e. Lawson, LMS, Unicru, Comp Tool, Benefit Vendors, etc) with all outside vendors and internally with the IS department.
Create and maintain technical documentation of HR applications and review functional documentation created by Analyst, HRIS.
Support and develop the functional and technical knowledge of the Analyst, HRIS on all HR systems and processes.
Experience
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or related experience.
3-5 plus years HRIS experience required.
Understanding of HRIS systems and data flow.
Strong PC Skills, Access Database, Crystal Reports and Report Smith experience.
Strong functional knowledge of Lawson HR/Payroll (iSeries) application
Knowledge of the following programming languages a plus: RPGLE, SQL, Java, HTML/XML, VB for Access.
Ability to solve a variety of problems in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of an automated HRIS for use in retrieval and manipulation of Human Resources information. Assist in the HRIS design and systems development
