(Other duties may be assigned) (To be done individually or in conjunction with LACAN HR representatives or country managers.) Coordinates, compiles and communicates HR Best Practices throughout Latin America & Canada. Analyzes wage, salary and incentive programs to develop competitive compensation plans. Assists in preparation of headcount budgets to project employment needs. Provides input for preparation of staffing budgets, wage/salary projections and employment policies. Designs & implements human resource policies and procedures, to meet local governance and company guidelines and as appropriate consults with in house legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with appropriate local law. Develops and publishes directives advising managers of company policy regarding regulations, employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits. Develops and maintains a human resources information system that meets management needs. Coordinates the performance appraisal process to evaluate development needs and to determine appropriate salary levels according to compensation guidelines, policies, salary surveys and market data. Develops and recommends succession planning and international mobility assignments. Identifies opportunities for Organizational Development and Training at country or business unit level. Participates in development and administration of performance appraisal and review system.
