Job Description:
Kaiser Permanente is seeking a team oriented Senior Finance professional who will be responsible for financial support to KPIT. Primary focus is the proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with GAAP. Responsible for account analysis, account reconciliations, resolving reconciling items utilizing problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and with other team members or departments to resolve accounting problems/issues. Responsible for meeting monthly due dates to ensure accurate and timely reporting of KPIT financial data. Develop and implement internal processes and procedures to support and comply with KPIT Finance policy and procedures.
Major responsibilities include:
1. Responsible for preparation of journal entries and analysis of accounts.
2. Prepare monthly/quarterly account reconciliations.
3. Prepare monthly /quarterly financial reports.
4. Research and resolve outstanding reconciling items in a timely manner.
5. Review accounting entries to ensure proper accounting treatment.
6. Review accounting controls and recommend improvements.
7. Research and prepares technical accounting solutions for diverse business issues.
8. Maintain required records, reports and files.
9. Assist in audit requirements as needed.
Minimum Requirements
* 5-8 years experience conducting account analysis, account reconciliations, resolving reconciling items utilizing problem solving skills.
* Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
* Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred
* Proficient in a variety of software applications and mainframe systems.
