Duties and Responsibilities: Manager of Quality Assurance
Coordinates the implementation and on-going process of the hospital wide clinical resource management and quality improvement program. Responsible for assuring the coordination of clinically complex patients’ care across a continuum is achieved; ensuring and facilitating the achievement of quality clinical and cost outcomes. To assure utilization management requirements established by payers are carried out in an efficient manner. Provide continuous reporting necessary to monitor and evaluate important aspects of patient care and key systems function. Coordinates assessment of patterns and trends, follow-up and opportunities to improve processes with hospital staff; medical staff and hospital departments/committees.
When the hospital opened on June 1, 2004, it became the first full-service health care facility in this area of Western Tennessee. From new moms to seniors to those in need of emergency and surgical care, the hospital has facilities and staff to address your needs. This a 100-bed hospital facility featuring 64 medical/surgical beds, 10 mother-baby suites and 16 CCU/ICU beds. Other features will include 4 operating rooms, a 24-hour emergency care center, medical imaging, and much more.
They are accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health care Organizations (JCAHO), the nation’s oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.
Degree(s) & Certifications: B.S.N. Degree,
Qualifications / Education: Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Also a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Experience as a charge nurse and/or infection control specialist preferred. Quality experience preferred. Experience: RN with 5 years demonstrated management/supervisory experience. Professional Requirement: RN license in the state of Tennessee Certifications: BCLS required. ACLS and PALS preferred depending on unit of assignment.
