Insero & Company -Recruiting Services division is currently searching to fill a Finance Manager for an outstanding local non-profit organization on a direct hire basis. The organization offer amazing benefits; 100% single coverage for medical/dental plan, outstanding time off/holiday and sick time. This position is for a client located in the University/East Ave area. This is an exempt/salary level position with working hours and an hour lunch (35 hours a week) with occasional extra hours needed at busier times.
Summary:
The Finance Manager will work as part of a team to provide technical assistance and service to Council staff and constituents by developing and managing budgets and financial plans/goals.
Responsibilities:
Managing all aspects of accounting and finance for the organization, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, budget development and management, payroll, staff benefits administration and conduct internal audits as needed.
Providing assistance with and supporting for contracted information technology services.
Providing support for membership group benefits administration.
Coordinating with the Database Administrator to provide current, accurate financial data.
Other projects and assignments as needed.
Requirements:
Candidates with related Non-Profit Accounting/Finance experience will be contacted first.
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (Bachelor’s degree is a plus) along with a minimum of 4 years successful accounting/finance experience (non-profit accounting experience preferred) is required. Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word and QuickBooks. Work experience with MS Access is a plus. Proven track record managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget required. Strong analytical and strategically thinking ability is a necessity. Audit and benefits administration experience including payroll would be a plus. Previous experience with generating budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and financial analyses is essential. Excellent written and verbal skills, ability to multi-task and an attention to detail is a must. Must be comfortable working in a small professional office and able to have fun at the same time. Successful candidates must be able to communicate clearly and amicably with all team members and have the ability to build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
