The Minority Business Development Agency achieves entrepreneurial parity for minority business enterprises (MBEs) by actively promoting their ability to grow and compete in the global economy. Addresses challenges faced by MBEs by developing programs that provide the keys to entrepreneurial success. An entrepreneurially focused and innovative organization, committed to empowering MBEs for the purpose of wealth creation. The incumbent serves as the Deputy CIO and assists the CIO in the management of the Office of the Chief Information Officer in such activities as the office's IT activities, budget, and personnel. Assesses policy needs and develops policies to govern IT activities. Defines current and future business environments with respect to the interplay of IT. One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade.
