Company Description: The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission employs approximately 500 full-time workers and 400 temporary workers in locations across the state. Types of jobs vary widely, from park rangers and aides to engineering, planning, construction and clerical positions. Each one plays an important role in the operation, maintenance, improvement and protection of Washington's cherished state parks.
With minimal supervision, prepare engineering drawings using AutoCad drafting software.
With engineering supervision, analyze designs using EaglePoint engineering design software.
With engineering supervision, prepare draft bid specifications, draft engineering reports, and other technical documents.
Review, interpret and apply a variety of design codes and regulations to project designs.
Conduct field topographic survey work on a survey crew and perform a variety of field sampling and testing activities under the direction of project engineers.
Conduct construction site inspections and perform basic public works construction administration duties.
Assist project engineers with project permitting activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
An Engineer-In-Training Certificate or a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a major study in one of the following engineering fields, civil, environmental, water resource, geotechnical, mechanical or closely related field.
