Company Description: A global leader in the manufacture and sales of trucks, buses and diesel engines.
Job Description: The function of this position is to support maintenance, production, and engineering. The primary focus is to increase uptimes and reduce repetitive maintenance issues.
Primary Duties include:
Provide technical support plant-wide in areas of electronic, hydraulic, pnuematic and electrical problem solving and trouble-shooting.
Provide technical guidance and training for skilled electrical/mechanical personnel in the maintenance group.
Perform engineering duties to solve reoccurring problems and for equipment upgrades.
Perform design work for assembly tooling and fastener equipment through the installation phase.
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or at least 5 years technical support experience in electronics or hydraulics or pneumatics or electrical
At least 3 years of Production machinery troubleshooting experience
PLC Programming Experience
Use of Electrical Diagnostic Equipment
Electrical & Fluid Power Print Reading
Microsoft Office Suite skills and working knowledge of AutoCad.
Robotic Programming and Troubleshooting Experience
Proven experience with programmable controllers, motor controls and automation in a manufacturing setting.
Working knowledge of Allen Bradley's SLC500 & Logix controllers.
Working knowledge of Atlas Copco's power focus and Ingersoll Rand's Insight nutrunner controls.
Demonstrated understanding of good safety and ergonomic design principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with good administrative and organizational skills.
Minimal (approximately 5%) travel for training or to visit O.E.M. during machine build or runoff.
