Job Description: Applied Engineering Technology, Inc. / Applied Engineering, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Applications Engineer/Specialist to be based out of our Maple Grove, MN office. Under the supervision of the V.P. Engineering Technology, the Applications Engineer/Specialist is responsible for technical support and training for Autodesk Digital Prototyping Solutions, including AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor. Responsibilities may also include assisting the AE sales and technical team with Autodesk software demos or implementations. This key position supports the CAD user community, ensuring the success of customers, through utilizing expertise in 3D solid modeling products. This position will involve staying current with the latest technology and cutting-edge software.
Requirements: A.S. Degree in Design/Drafting or a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
3+ years experience with 3D solid modeling working in an engineering/manufacturing environment with the following:
Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor software or any of the following: SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, Unigraphics, NX, AutoCAD
Some AutoCAD 2-D experience would be a plus ? to understand the benefits of 2D/3D solutions
Excellent analytical and technical troubleshooting skills
The successful candidates will possess superb interpersonal skills and a team player mentality; present a professional image and have strong communication skills, and have the ability to engage in technical process discussions.
