Diamond Municipal Solutions, a Microsoft Dynamics GP partner, is a leader in municipal and utility accounting application software. We specialize in the development, implementation and support of municipal and utility accounting systems standardized on Microsoft technologies. Diamond Municipal Solutions is a member of the Star Municipal Group.
Consult with and train the client base. To assist in implementing our solution from set-up to the “go-live” and beyond by providing on-site and in-house services including but not limited to teaching, answering questions, analyzing, researching, creating and communicating solutions. To continue to learn and be familiar with the municipal financial solution that we implement, in it’s entirety.
Consult with clients on the Diamond Solution, optimizing the client business process to work with the software
Teach clients and staff the Diamond solution from simple daily procedures to more complex set-up (ie G/L accounts) and financial reporting.
Maintain a 70% revenue utilization (after probation) – 13 days billable.
Support clients and staff by answering questions through email, telephone and/or modem support, in an ethical and timely manner.
Learn and actively contribute quality documents for the professional services team (i.E. Training agendas)
Complete paperwork/electronic forms on a daily/weekly basis..
Follow directions/instructions from your supervisor/management.
Complete the training and maintain knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics GP, Diamond and other partner solutions.
Install new versions of software on your computer system as directed by your supervisor/manager.
Attend classes as required or as directed, both on-site and off-site.
Test and document issues on Microsoft Dynamics GP, Diamond and other partner solutions as directed by your supervisor/manager or project manager.
Provide consultation services to clients as directed by the Project Manager or your supervisor/manager.
Study, practice and work towards internal exams as required.
Regular travel is required. At times travel may be as high as 75%
Other duties as assigned.
Attend and participate in the staff meetings.
Abide by and adhere to the policies and procedures as outlined in the Policy manual.
Assist in answering phones, checking for and distributing faxes.
Maintain a neat and presentable work area at all times.
Letters and/or email correspondence to staff, clients and partners as required.
Assist and put forth your best effort with any team related project.
Assist other teams as required.
Participate in any marketing related functions such as newsletter articles, communiqué highlights, RFP contributions, annual client conference, corporate literature, pictures or videos.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
Microsoft Dynamics GP certification is required to be attained
Experience: 2 – 5 years of consulting, or related experience
Education: Degree, Diploma or equivalent experience in Consulting, Computer Science and/or Accounting, or related fields.
Certification: Any Consulting, IT or Accounting certification would be an asset, none required.
Knowledge Base: Must have firm understanding of GAAP accounting, municipal accounting, IT or implementation/ consulting/training functions.
Personal Characteristics: Excellent communication skills, enjoys teaching/instructing, good reasoning abilities, sound judgment, highly analytical, project oriented, high energy level, resourceful and well organized, ability to get along with diverse personalities, results driven and people oriented.
