Sr. Project Manager - Construction - Education Facilities
A regional Construction Management firm is in need of a Sr. Project Manager and a Regional Project Manager to oversee the delivery of construction Projects for LAUSD. If you are a seasoned Project Manager with experience running multiple projects valued at or above $15MM please read on...
Regional Project Director: What you will be doing:
-Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and reports performance of Sr. Project Managers and their teams in the delivery of LAUSD new construction objectives.
- Coordinates program activities with various LAUSD senior management personnel (Office of School Management Services, Environmental Health & Safety, Real Estate, Inspection, etc.) and all appropriate state & local agencies.
- Directs & assists in community outreach efforts to provide information about regional projects.
- Maintains feedback on best practices and lessons learned to central program management.
- Responsible for 10 to 40 projects simultaneously, ranging in construction value from $15M to $100M each.
Sr. Project Manager, What you will be doing:
- Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and reports the project management activities of multiple project teams with regard to school facilities.
- Responsible for 4 to15 projects simultaneously, ranging in construction value from $15M to $ 100M
Minimum Requirements:
REGIONAL PROJECT DIRECTOR
- Minimum 15 years experience in management of multiple projects; experience within a large capital improvement program and familiarity with public contract code
- 5 years experience in educational facility construction
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in architecture, engineering, urban planning, construction management or a closely related field. Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Architect license/certification preferred.
- The OSHA Occupational Safety and Health Training Course in Construction Safety & Health must be completed by all employees working and/or visiting any project site within 30 days of their start date.
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER II
- Minimum 15 years experience in project/construction management of commercial and/or public facilities and familiarity with public contract code
- 5 years experience in educational facility construction
- Strongly prefer BS or BA in architecture, engineering, urban planning, construction management or a closely related field. Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Architect license/certification preferred.
- The OSHA Occupational Safety and Health Training Course in Construction Safety & Health must be completed by all employees working and/or visiting any project site within 30 days of their start date.
