Recruiting Consultants is a new recruiting firm in the Sarasota County area with recruiters coming from a background of 20 years of successful job placement. Positions filled include: Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Administrative and Clercial, Customer Service, Banking, Call Centers and more.
Please Note: Candidates currently residing in Sarasota County HIGHLY desirable.
Directly responsible for organizing, supervising, maintaining schedules, planning, coordinating field operations on a daily basis to maximize cost efficiency and motivate employees as directed by the Project Manager/ Director.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Work at the direction of the Project Manager.
Plan, coordinate and direct efficient use of all labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors/ material suppliers to achieve the highest quality at the least possible cost.
Make sure that foreman and their crewmembers understand clearly, what they should be doing each day. Review schedule, crews and methods and safety issues.
Quantify and evaluate daily productivity for maximum efficiency and safety.
Set attainable project goals, monitor progress, acknowledge success or take corrective action to prevent failure.
Allocate adequate resources to the work force so they have the best possible chance of achieving project goals.
Instruct all personnel how new policies or procedures may affect their daily activities, monitor comprehension and insure follow through.
Review all incoming paperwork from the field for accuracy; completion; legibility and consistency.
Evaluate the effectiveness and evaluate the performance of field personnel and their crews.
Coordinate all labor requirements, changes or problems with the Labor Supervisor.
Establish and maintain Daily Activity Boards to focus BDCI personnel and subcontractor efforts.
Manipulate Resource Planning to raise project efficiency.
Act as liaison communicating daily the proposed construction activities at a point of impact on project completion/turn over.
Expedite material and equipment orders in a timely fashion to insure “just in time inventory.”
Coordinate construction activities with tenant representative to minimize impact on their operations while obtaining a high degree of construction efficiency.
Maintain an excellent working relationship with the end user of a project. Notify Project Manager of potential conflicts.
Act as agent for the company in an equitable, honest way.
Notify the Office and Project Manager immediately of changes in scope. Use change directive reference to track changes when applicable.
Review schedule status with Project Manager weekly. Use information to analyze operations and improve efficiency.
Monitor progress, productivity and methods utilized to expedite work.
Attend job-related meetings when required and review all revisions with Project Manager.
Give employees immediate feedback for a job well done, “let them know the score.”
Motivate all assigned personnel to raise efficiency.
Review daily time sheets for thorough completion and accuracy. Evaluate productivity daily.
Train, support and guide field forces.
Maintain rapport with work force, identify individuals with potential, and communicate your opinion to Project Management.
Supervise and train field personnel to improve their technical knowledge as well as their skills in employee relations. Guide and teach them how to create team spirit breaking down “we vs. Them.”
Learn the job responsibilities and techniques used by the Project Manager.
Exercise value engineering to maximize cost efficiency and productivity in the field.
Spend the maximum possible time available directly supervising field operations on site for projects assigned.
Skills Required:
A minimum of 5 to 7 years Commercial Construction Supervisory experience.
