MomentumSi seeks an experienced Application Architect with SOA experience. The SOA Application Architect defines SOA infrastructure deployment architectures and performs the services associated with implementing those designs in customer environments. SOA infrastructure includes a range of shared capabilities and tools including management, security, governance, registry & repository, data integration. In this position you will be expected to develop a master level technical skill in a small number of products produced by our SOA partners. You will also be expected to develop and maintain strong overall knowledge of SOA. You will assist customers in gaining maximum value from their infrastructure investments. You will develop relationships with technologists at SOA infrastructure vendors in order to drive the improvement of their products to meet client needs and to increase revenues for both companies. Customer satisfaction and confidence of vendor partners are key measures of success for this role.
Primary Responsibilities
Creating, documenting, and communicating architectures relating to SOA infrastructure elements that are appropriate in large enterprises
Leading technical design sessions
Training end users on SOA infrastructure elements
Developing procedures for using and maintaining SOA infrastructure elements
Determining and implementing plans for migrating to new infrastructure
Skills Required:
Information Technology Experience - 10 years
IT Leadership Experience - 3 years
Infrastructure product implementation experience, especially ETL-related products - minimum 3-5 years
Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science preferred
Excellent Presentation and Technical Writing Skills
Experience in producing formal architectural document sets and participating in Strategic Architectural Discussions
Hands-on experience in architecting and building solutions
Past work on multiple proof of concept projects, including the design and implementation of benchmarks to prove performance and scalability of enterprise systems
Experience with integrating vendor products into customer environments including the creation of custom code based on vendor APIs
Knowledge and experience of working on MDM tools
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture concepts
Project Management Certification preferred
