Work with the Web Development team in creating a swift and sharp online store in Java technologies ,that will link an existing client to a backend website. * Working with Mediasurface, the CMS for the client assisting in building company website...as well as 27 regional sites. * Taking requirements from marketing and translating them into functional requirements and then implementing * Write JSPs to tie templates in to the CMS Mediasurface API * Build new tags * Enforce change control processes * Acceptance testing * Cross-browser compatibility The skill set needed is Java, JSP, Tomcat, NetBeans, familiarity with ANT building tools, Subversion, Oracle, CSS2, XHTML, JavaScript, CMS experience. Apache and Squid experience is preferred. Candidates should submit a JSP code sample (a component and front end page, a tag would also be nice) with their resume. Candidates must be interested in problem solving and know how to problem solve without help from other developers. Candidates must be comfortable in a constantly changing environment, including new project priorities and new tasks. This job is in the marketing department and not the IT department so we are much more agile. The candidate must be able to travel on occasion (rarely). 3-5 years of experience is required. The salary is based on experience (range is 70-85k). A Degree in Computer Science is required, however, a heavier weight is based on experience and knowledge.
