Lead and manage all facility related activities included Building and Grounds Maintenance, Waste Water Treatment, Land Application, Engineering, Sanitation, and Environmental Compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
Building and Grounds:
Manage all B&G maintenance related activities within 11 buildings with a combined square footage of roughly 400,000 square feet including Boiler systems, HVAC, Industrial Chillers, high voltage electrical switchgear, lighting circuits, fire protection, plant security, etc.
This would also include four multi-craft maintenance technicians.
This also includes managing and upkeep of the site rounds.
Waste Water Treatment:
Lead three WWTP operators through a primary clarifying treatment and starch recovery operation.
Maintaining all records and reports for proper Regulatory compliance is also a requirement of this role.
Land Application: Lead one technician in operation, harvest, and discharge of 12 Bermuda hay fields.
Engineering:
Provide management support to our capital systems, leading one project coordinator and assisting in the planning, forecasting, execution, and post-auditing of the site capital projects.
Sanitation:
Lead one Sanitation Resource plus three sanitation coordinators in maintaining a high level of cleanliness, food safety, and AIB readiness.
Responsibility will include the team development of a sanitation team with roughly 35 team members, two pest control technicians, one porter, and our matron service.
Execution of our critical food safety systems will also be an expectation of this role.
Environmental Compliance:
Site point person for all regulatory compliance, including leadership of technician-owned Green team.
Responsible for all TCEQ reporting and documentation requirements.
Also, expected to lead the site Resource Conservation initiatives.
Security Program Point: Lead site security team to insure food security audit compliance and general site safety levels are maintained.
Contract Negotiations: Lead site efforts toward negotiating site waste hauling, matron services, hay removal, etc.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Technical Degree (preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Agricultural, or Industrial engineering)
At least 5 years relevant experience in Facility-related (maintenance, engineering, sanitation, etc.) areas
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing and walking
Sitting occasionally to frequent
Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally
Must be able to see (depth perception, near acuity and far acuity) and hear
Must be able to maneuver safely around moving equipment and/or in congested manufacturing areas
Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures (hot and/or cold depending upon season and plant location)
Must pass a drug screen and background investigation
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, ear plugs/muffs, steel toed shoes, rubber gloves/boots, etc.
Exposed to various packaging materials, raw ingredients, seasonings, cleaning chemicals, lubricants, etc.
Weekend and off-shift work coverage as required
Some travel will be required in this role
