This position is located in the Chemical Security Compliance Division (CSCD) in the Office of Infrastructure Protection (OIP). The OIP is committed to implementing a safe, secure, and resilient national infrastructure through integrating and leveraging diverse authorities, capabilities, and resources across all levels of government and private sector. The ASIP leads the coordinated national effort to reduce the risk to the nation’s critical infrastructures and the key resources posed by acts of terrorism, and to strengthen national preparedness, timely response, and rapid recovery in the event of an attack, natural disaster, or other emergency. The CSCD is responsible for operational and long-range planning, allocation of resources and oversight of program execution, including the development of goals and milestones supporting OIP’s regulatory authority for the nation’s high risk chemical facilities.
