Interior Designer for hospitality / hotels interior design and architecture
We are seeking a mid-level Interior Designer who is looking to challenge themselves as part of a team in a fast-paced hotel design firm! We will train, we will further your knowledge of various design concepts, and we will provide an exciting and ever changing work environment and not to mention, we will relocate the right candidate to beautiful Seattle, Washington!
Do you have 3+ years experience as an Interior Designer in a Design-Architecture Firm or working for a Hotel?
Do you have 2+ years experience in retail, hospitality, and / or residential design as well as a solid understanding of mill work design and detailing?
And, do you have a 4 year degree from an Interior Design or Architecture school?

- Working with a team of design professionals on major hotel / hospitality projects
- Expanding your skills in all areas such as picking pillows, selecting fabrics, selecting furnishings, project management, millwork, interior architecture and design, etc.
- Putting together unique and marketable design stories
- Integrating custom design packages
- Colors and materials design
- Assembling comprehensive construction documents (interior construction) and interior specifications
- Millwork design and detailing
You should have a minimum of 2+ years experience in all of the following:
- 3+ years experience as an Interior Designer in a Design-Architecture firm
- 2+ years experience in retail, hospitality, and / or residential design as well as solid understanding of mill work design and detailing
- 4 year degree from an accredited Interior Design or Architecture school
- AutoCAD proficiency is a MUST
- Exceptional client management skills, know how to create work plans, work within a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects with other members of a team while consistently achieving high standards and goals.
- Proven experience in motivating and inspiring others
- Presentation skills
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to create strong spatial design concepts
Technical skills:
- AutoCAD skills - Proficiency is a MUST
- Comfortable designing new concepts
- Space planning skills
- Ability to produce quality free hand sketches
- Product research and resource
- Shop drawing reviews and RFI approvals
- Purchase order review
- Budgeting
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, installation techniques, and terminology
- Knowledgeable in producing mill work and cabinetry section and details
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and terminology is preferred
- Knowledge of what is "hot" and ability to monitor new trends and designs
- Participation in concept/story development and then track changes, ensuring quality of finished product
