As a member of the core analytical sciences team, support drug discovery research in the small molecule mass spectrometry and separations area. A person in this role is expected to be enthusiastic to contribute and share responsibilities with the team members in areas of mass spectrometry (accurate mass and structure elucidation), separations (chiral and non-chiral separations) and automation (LIMS and high-through analysis). Responsibilities may include both qualitative and quantitative analysis using LC/MS to support drug discovery research. The successful candidate will use a broad scientific knowledge to contribute to sample preparation, LC/MS method development, data analysis, and instrumental improvements.
Qualifications
BS/MS in analytical chemistry with 5-10 of experience in the analysis of small molecules using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. Possess in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art techniques and instrumentation employed in qualitative and quantitative analysis (e.g. HPLC, mass spectrometry, laboratory automation, sample preparation, LIMS, etc.). Experience with SFC is highly desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the enthusiasm for working in a fast paced team environment are essential.
