Our client, a leader in ophthalmic diagnostic and imaging equipment, is seeking Sales Engineers who will work with the sales force and the marketing team and will function as a key contributor in securing the sale of its equipment.

The Sales Engineer is responsible for the technical sales activities that achieve the revenue objectives determined by the company for the region/area where assigned. To accomplish these objectives, the SE should have proven experience with soliciting business requirements, developing a technical sales strategy, configuring and effectively demonstrating the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.

Job function:
This position is a high-level pre-sales technical position focused on working with senior hospital IT staff members to come up with an EMR (Electronic Medical Records)/Image Management solution that addresses the hospital’s IT staffs concerns and meets the physician’s clinical needs. The candidate will work with potential customers by creating presentations, responding to RFP’s and having in person meetings. The ideal candidate will have had high level experience consulting, selling, deploying, and supporting web based electronic systems in hospital environments.

The candidate must be able to create white papers, physically attend, and orally present the client’s product and readily address concerns of senior IT staff who are experts in the following fields: Networking, Servers, Storage, Disaster recovery, Security, Web applications, Databases, Desktop support.

In particular, the candidate must have firsthand experience or be very knowledgeable with the following technologies:
•Networking: WAN, LAN, Caching, IP addressing, IP routing, firewalls, antivirus, bandwidth
•Servers: redundancy, remote management, virtual servers
•Storage: Disks (SAS, SATA), RAID, SANs (FC, iSCSI)
•Disaster recovery: Backup/restore procedures, Backup technologies
•Security: HIPAA, Active directory, LDAP, firewalls, application security, physical security, database security, data-at-rest security
•Web applications: HL7, .Net technology, Active X components, Integration with EMRs
•Imaging applications: DICOM, PACS, RIS
•Databases: database backup, database replication, database security
•Desktop support: Application distribution, IE configuration
•Capable of making demonstrations to include presentations to business and technical audiences ranging from end users to Sr. Executives using a variety of methods including Microsoft’s PowerPoint, standup “chalk talks”, and product demonstrations.
•Work with the customer to transition to the new EMR/Imaging Solution by providing guidance and training
•Exceptional communication skills
•+-50% required to support the sales team

Desired Skills:
•Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) with specific focus on Image processing, ophthalmic preferred in either a hospital or clinical setting
•Integrating technologies that include; capture station interfaces, image analysis, storage, viewing, monitoring, and networking.
