| |
Maintain responsibility for providing accurate tax certification to safeguard the company's first lien position by carefully monitoring the status of real estate taxes, and other lienable items for nationwide escrowed/nonescrowed loans, performing and non-performing. Contact local taxing authorities via telephone, internet, or facsimile to acquire updated tax information on all parcels associated with trackable loans. Set up tax information for all new loans in system. Coordinate with Tax Specialists when necessary. Special projects as assigned by Tax Supervisor.
Good written and oral communication skills and good business math skills.
Job Requirements:
Good written and oral communication skills and good business math skills.
Ability to meet time deadlines handle simultaneous tasks, and follow-up in a fast pace environment.
Ability to work overtime when required.
High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
Previous telephone interaction, collections, or customer service a plus.
Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
Ability to meet time deadlines while working under pressure.
Handle simultaneous tasks and projects in a fast paced environment.
Extensive knowledge of nationwide real estate tax procedures and mortgage loan documentation.
Good business writing skills.
Good business math skills.
Excellent follow-up skills.
Education/Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 year escrow and loan servicing experience.
Loan Closing and Tax Service Bureau experience a plus.
