Senior Project Manager Job

Looking for Sr. Project Designer to join our multi-discipline design Firm specializing in Commercial, Office and Mixed-Use Projects. Qualified candidates will have 7 years of experience designing higher education projects. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture along with significant skills and experience in the planning, design, coordination, and execution of medium to large projects, or multiple smaller projects of varying building types, construction types, and entitlement processes. Candidates should have both hand and computer design experience, must be detail-oriented with strong programming, planning, design, and technical skills, and must have an in-depth knowledge of construction costs. Knowledge of engineering and environmental disciplines is essential to support coordination and evaluation of the work done by external consultants. Experience with contractor coordination and various construction processes and delivery systems is required. Leadership qualities, collaboration, and a team-player attitude are essential. Candidates must be able to communicate with managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Successful candidates will be able to communicate information using a variety of mediums including models, hand drawings and CAD. LEED Certification is preferred. Job responsibilities include: Responsible for the overall design and quality of projects. Conceptualizes and develops formal solutions to support client and company design goals and objectives. Collaborates with clients, consultants, staff and others to prepare detailed programming documents and drawings that illustrate conceptual through detailed design solutions. Ensures timely completion of design documents, responsible for the review of design and construction documents and shop drawings to ensure consistency with client needs and design objectives. Provide guidance and mentoring to subordinates, effectively communicates and contributes to building a positive team spirit that supports everyone's efforts to succeed.
