Multiple Discipline Design Firm with over 25 years of experience seeks a professional, valuable and creative Jr. Designer to join our unique, diverse and family oriented Architectural Firm.
Our position available for the Jr. Designer role requires a minimum, 1 year of experience and the passion and ability to assist with the design of commercial, office, mixed-use, and urban in-fill projects. Seeking candidates with Bachelor's Degree preferably in the Architectural related fields along with someone who has proficient knowledge of Microstation or other AutoCAD software. Knowledge of building codes such as UBC and ADA, along with construction methods will be highly considered. Ideal candidates will be team players and have a strong desire to grow and become an integral and valuable partner of our firm. Strong candidates will demonstrate analytical, problem solving and organizational skills so as to become successful. Knowledge of engineering and environmental disciplines is essential to support the coordination and evaluation of the work done by external consultants. Expert communication skills is required because one must communicate information in two and three dimensions using a variety of mediums including models, hand drawings, AutoCAD and other computer applications. Will consider individuals with college internships and detailed project experience.
Job duties include but are not limited to the following for the Jr. Designer position; prepare design sketches, construction documents, diagrams, schedules, and other hand or computer drafted documents from prepared drawings (sketches, markups, redlines) and verbal directions as needed. Chosen candidates will also build three dimensional models and/or sketches for projects by hand or using computer generated images, along with engaging in site or fieldwork including field-measured documentation, existing facility inventory and site investigation.
